Contacts with other international organisations and non-EU countries will be developed to verify the final destinations of waste and deal with repatriations of illegally shipped waste. The project will build on existing networks and further strengthen them by promoting information exchanges via face-to-face meeting and electronic means. Communications will focus on pushing up compliance and demonstrate to actors in the chain that competent authorities are serious in their efforts to deter waste trafficking.
