The Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) is an Executive Agency within the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland. The NIEA are the environmental regulator in Northern Ireland. The strategic objective of the Agency is to create prosperity and wellbeing through effective environment and heritage management and regulation and one of its key objectives is to deliver effective compliance and implementation of legislation and international obligations.
The NIEA will oversee and organise the Inspector Exchange programmes under the LIFE SWEAP Project.
