The Inspectorate of RS for the environment and spatial planning (IRSOP) is a body within the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning. The Inspectorate is headed and represented by the chief inspector for the environment and spatial planning, responsible for her/his performance and the performance of the Inspectorate to the Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning.
IRSOP performs the tasks of inspection supervision over the implementation of environmental regulations related to topics as waste management, water management, mining activities and the housing sector. IRSOP also performs administrative and professional tasks in the field of cross-border shipments of waste, with the exception of radioactive waste.
IRSOP is an associated beneficiary in SWEAP project and will take part in Work Package related to coordinated inspections.
