May 28, 2021 //  by Nancy Isarin

The LIFE SWEAP project has launched its second survey aiming to assess the assistance industry may need to ensure their waste shipments are legally compliant. This work is part of the key performance indicators of the project. Companies involved in any part of the waste shipment trade are invited to complete this survey until Wednesday 30th June 2021.

First survey

Over a 100 responses were received from industry representatives on the first survey in 2019. Following an assessment of the responses, the team identified several priority areas where further guidance is needed, including:

  • Plastic waste
  • Green listed waste
  • Export of plastic waste to Malaysia

This led to the publication of two fact sheets.

Based on the responses to this second survey, new areas might be identified which require further information and guidance for industry.

  • Deadline:  30 June 2021 at 18:00 CET.
