IMPEL Hosting Side Event at the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention

IMPEL is hosting a side-event at the Basel Convention Conference of the Parties at on Tuesday 13 June from 18:15-19:45 CET. The title is “A collaborative approach to the effective implementation and enforcement of the Basel Convention.” This side event will look at how the development of good collaboration between the authorities of countries on different continents can strengthen the effective implementation and enforcement of the Basel Convention. By promoting exchange of knowledge and best practice and by carrying out joint enforcement action illegal traffic in wastes can be significantly reduced.  Ms. Katie Olley will present the ongoing LIFE SWEAP project.
